Meltdown 2008 curated by Massive Attack... best yet?

This year's Meltdown festival looks set to be one of the best yet. Curated by Bristol's Massive Attack and taking place over all 21 acres of the Southbank Centre - including the riverside, Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall - Meltdown is nine days of concerts, DJ sets, talks, films and visual art.
Massive Attack follow in the mercurial footsteps of previous Meltdown Artistic Directors John Peel, Robert Wyatt, Scott Walker, David Bowie, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Morrissey, Patti Smith and Jarvis Cocker.
This year's festival features performances from Massive Attack, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Elbow, Stiff Little Fingers, Mark Stewart & The Maffia, Grace Jones, Gang of Four, Tom Tom Club, Terry Callier, George Clinton and many more.
Plus, Massive Attack's Daddy G will be hosting an exclusive Meltdown Event for South Bank members on Thursday 8 May with DJ sets from Daddy G and Bristol Hi-Fi (featuring our very own Mr Benn!) and live performances from Malakai and Babyhead.
